Grape Wood Caves

Grape Wood is a striking natural driftwood featuring intricate twists, bends, and knotted textures that bring depth and personality to planted aquariums. Often selected as an alternative to Manzanita, it’s also widely used in decorative crafts and makes an eye-catching focal point in larger aquascapes. Compared to Malaysian or Spider Wood, Grape Wood offers a lighter initial coloration and a more rugged structure, though its tone may naturally deepen once submerged.

This all-natural wood is also an excellent addition to terrariums and paludariums, where it pairs beautifully with mosses, epiphytes, and emergent plants. Due to its structure, Grape Wood can take considerable time to become fully saturated. Pre-soaking is strongly recommended, and additional anchoring with stones or other supports may be necessary to keep it securely positioned. As with most driftwood, tannins may be released and lightly tint the water; regular aquarium maintenance and water changes will gradually reduce this effect.

This wood is buoyant and must be thoroughly soaked before it will reliably sink.
